Founded in 2004, the LNN is managed by Lehigh University's Center for Advanced Materials and Nanotechnology (CAMN), which since 1964 has enabled businesses to benefit from Lehigh's expertise and unique laboratory facilities. The CAMN is committed to advancing the application of nanotechnology and enhancing Lehigh’s capabilities for development and characterization of materials.  Areas of research include nanoparticle synthesis, interfacial kinetic engineering, polymer, ceramic, and metal nanocomposites, micro-electromechanical systems (MEMS), electronics materials, catalysis, surface chemistry, and bioengineering.  Facilities include one of the largest centers for electron microscopes in the U.S.  Through its Industrial Liaison Program (ILP), CAMN provides resources and assistance to companies, government, and others for research, new ideas, knowledge, partnerships, and funding opportunities.
